Canonical Telemetry
Relay Protocol.
Every collector normalizes data to CTRP v1.0 before relay. Outbound-only, cryptographically signed, designed for zero-trust environments.
mTLS Encryption
All relay traffic is encrypted with mutual TLS. Both appliance and relay authenticate each other before any data flows.
Ed25519 Signatures
Every telemetry envelope is cryptographically signed at the edge. Tampering is detectable at any point in the pipeline.
Outbound-Only
No inbound ports, no listening services. The appliance initiates all connections outbound to your self-hosted Relay.
Store-and-Forward
Data is buffered to local SSD. If the relay is unreachable, the appliance queues and retries automatically — no data loss.
Batch Compression
Telemetry is batched and compressed before relay for efficient bandwidth usage across WAN and low-bandwidth links.
Air-Gappable
No traffic to RelayForge infrastructure. Every component — appliance, relay, dashboard — runs entirely within your environment.
